I hereby declare myself eligible for office, meaning I am a currently enrolled University of Utah student, I am eligible to work in the United States, I have completed 30 credit hours at the time of my filing, and I have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, and give permission for ASUU to verify my eligibility including checking my academic records as needed. I pledge to conduct myself in a professional manner with dignity and respect throughout the elections process. I also understand the candidate responsibilities as outlined in ASUU Redbook Article V Section 3.1. *
I agree as a candidate for ASUU office, upon penalty of fines, disqualification, or other Election Sanctions levied by the ASUU Supreme Court, that I have received, read, and agree to abide by the 2019-2020 ASUU Elections Regulations & Guidelines including Article V of Redbook and the ASUU Elections Policy & Procedures contained within the Elections Packet. I understand that I will be held accountable for my actions and compliance to the Elections Rules even during the period before I had filed. I also understand that any changes to these rules will be published on the ASUU website. *
I understand that voting will be performed via computer and agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the University of Utah, the ASUU Elections Registrar, and the ASUU Supreme Court regarding or related to voting procedures, valid use of student identification numbers, etc. *
I understand that my candidacy is dependent upon my completion of the Diversity Education, available via Canvas and due by 5pm on Friday, February 7th. *
I understand that my candidacy is dependent upon my submission of a $5 filing fee, which can be done using the "Pay Filing Fee Here" button under the "Forms" tab on the Elections webpage. *
I understand that as a candidate for Attorney General, if I am elected I am expected to be present at the following trainings and events: Assembly Training (March 17th and 24th from 5-7pm), Senate Training (March 19th and 26th from 5-7pm), Inauguration (April 17th from 5-8pm), and ASUU Orientation (May 4th, 5th, and 6th, all day). *
I understand that as a candidate for Attorney General, if I am elected I will be expected to be present at all 2020-2021 Assembly and Senate meetings, which will require attendance at meetings on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year. *
